This page has been a little quiet, but not because our business has been. The 8-weeks leading up to Christmas are crazy busy for portrait photographers. And while my business is still pretty small, I have definitely felt the rush. This year has been great practice. But I’m looking forward to doing 300% more work next year.
First Up, My Personal Blog

You may or may not know that I have been posting to a personal blog called The Callipygian Chronicle since 2006. I post more personal stories to that blog and am currently posting a scrapbooking project called December Daily. Although I am collecting stories and images, I’m a bit behind on posting to this series right now. But if you’d like to have a look at what I’ve done so far, please click on over there.

Recent Client Preview Videos
Since many of my client sneak peaks are posted to my Facebook page, you may have missed the Preview Videos I have made for my most recent client sessions. I put a lot of work into crafting your Preview Videos because they provide your first look at the images of your session.
I post one or two sneak peak images on Facebook before the your View & Choose session; but other than that, you see nothing. I want that first look to be pitch perfect. The music I choose is tailored to each of you along with the overall session mood.
These are not merely introductory slideshows. Some of the preview videos go through as many as five revisions before being shown. I am creating keepsake items that I hope you will choose to make a permanent part of your home, so I think carefully about the order the images are presented, the pacing of the animation, and the overall feel of the video.
So here’s a few you may have missed:
Lynne & Steve’s Day After Wedding Session
Lynne and Steve had a unique and completely personalized wedding. It was a thrill to be a part of. I am so glad they willingly got out of bed the next morning and allowed me to photograph them at some special places, including where they met and where Steve proposed.

The Markoski Family Session
I met the mother of this family when I joined my first playgroup, a long time ago when my daughter was 7-months old and not yet even crawling. Now, her family has grown from three to four and I had so much fun capturing their fun-loving energy and deep love for each other.
Location: Oceanside Pier—Oceanside, CA
Adam & Bryan
Less than twelve hours before we shot this session, these two flew in on a red eye from Hawaii, where they live. Being a momma to daughter, I can never know what that father-son dynamic is truly like. I was so lucky to be able to witness their moments of playful fun and tenderness with each other.
Location: Seaport Village—San Diego, CA
The Findahl Family
I first met Daniel on a tour of our junior high waaaaay back when we were awkward 12-year-olds. He married his high school sweetheart and is the only person I know who wound up doing for a living exactly what he said he wanted to do when we were young and stupid kids. And now we have kids of our own. Surreal.
One-year-olds are usually impossible to photograph because they are new walkers and all they want to do is move. But this is the happiest, easy-going baby I have ever met. Makes me wish I could have a dozen more.
The Siebert Family
Wow. What can I say about this family? Passionate, is the word that comes to mind. They love deeply, and the wear it on the outside. They hug and kiss and cuddle with an openness I admire—from the parents, to the children, to the beloved dogs. I can only imagine what great partners these boys will be some day being raised to love that openly.
Thank you to each and every one of my clients for making 2010 such a memorable year. It has been an honro to work with each and everyone of you.
